HHS-OIG List of Excluded Individuals and Entities (LEIE)
People and businesses excluded from Medicare, Medicaid and every other US federal health care programme, most often following a conviction for programme fraud, patient abuse or a controlled-substance offence, or the loss of a professional licence. Paying an excluded party with federal health care funds carries civil penalties, so this is checked before a provider is engaged. It is the largest list here by some margin, and it carries only current exclusions — a reinstated party is removed rather than marked.
